Aeugst am Albis is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the Affoltern area of the canton of Zürich.
History of Aeugst am Albis
Aeugst am Albis was first written about in old documents around the years 876 or 877. Back then, its name was Ousta. Later, in the year 1277, it was mentioned as Oeugsten. This shows that the town has a very long history!

Aeugst am Albis covers an area of about 7.9 square kilometers (about 3 square miles). A big part of this land, about 52.7%, is used for farming. Forests cover another 31.3% of the area.

This village sits on a southern slope of the Aeugsterberg hill. It also includes the smaller area called Wengi and the village of Aeugstertal. Aeugstertal is located in the upper Reppischtal valley.
