Puerto de las Nieves: The Port of Agaete
The port of Agaete is called Puerto de las Nieves. It's a popular spot for visitors. This port used to be famous for its view of El Dedo de Dios. This means "God's Finger" in Spanish. It was a unique rock formation on the coast. Sadly, a big storm named Tropical Storm Delta destroyed it in November 2005. Even without "God's Finger," the port is still a favorite place. Many people on day trips from other parts of the island end their journey here.
El Maipes Necropolis: An Ancient Burial Site
On the edge of Agaete town, you can find the El Maipes necropolis. A necropolis is like a very old cemetery. This ancient burial ground is located to the southeast of the town, near the football field. It's a significant historical site.
