Aguascalientes is a state in Mexico. It is located right in the center of the country. Its capital city is also called Aguascalientes. The name "Aguascalientes" means "hot waters" in Spanish. This is because there are many hot springs in the area. People from Aguascalientes are called hidrocálidos. This name combines "hydro" (meaning water) and "cálido" (meaning hot).
