Ahmed Mohamed Salah El Din El Sakka (Arabic: أحمد محمد صلاح الدين السقا; born in 1973) is a famous Egyptian action actor. He is known for playing exciting roles and often does his own dangerous stunts! People sometimes call him "The Knight of Egyptian Cinema" because of his brave performances.
Ahmed El Sakka is the son of Salah El Sakka, a well-known theatre director. Ahmed started his acting journey with small roles in movies and TV shows. He became very popular after starring in the comedy films An Upper Egyptian at the American University (1998) and Hamam in Amsterdam (1999).
He has starred in many action-packed films like Mafia (2002), Tito (2004), and Italy War (2005). He also appeared in adventure movies like Africano (2001) and dramas such as The Island (2007). Ahmed El Sakka has also acted in several popular TV series and theatre plays.

Early Life and Training
Ahmed El Sakka studied at the Academy of Arts in Egypt. He graduated from The Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1993. This is where he learned many skills to become the actor he is today.
Career Highlights
Ahmed El Sakka started his career with roles in popular TV series. These included Al Nawa (1991) and Alf Leila Wa Leila (One Thousand and One Nights, 1995). He also appeared in Rodda Qalbi (1998), which was a new version of an older film.
He also had roles in films like A Hot Night (1995) and The Days of Sadat (2001).
Becoming a Star
Ahmed El Sakka became widely known after co-starring with actor Mohamed Henedi in An Upper Egyptian at the American University (1998). This movie was about a farmer who goes to the American University. The next year, they worked together again in Hamam in Amsterdam (1999). In this film, Ahmed played a tougher character, which became his signature style in many future hit movies. They also performed together in the plays Alabanda (1998) and Afroto (1999).
Action Hero Roles
Ahmed El Sakka's first main role in a movie was in Short W Fanelah W Cap (2000). This film was a big success, and he won the Best Actor Award at the Cairo International Film Festival. In 2001, he starred in Africano with Mona Zaki, which was also very popular. He even voiced the character Milo in the Arabic version of the animated film Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001).
His next films were mostly action movies where he played the main hero. One of his most famous action films is Mafia (2002). Many people consider him one of the best action actors in Egyptian movies because of this film. He also starred in Tito (2004) and Harb Atalia (Italy War, 2005).
In 2007, he starred in two successful films: Taymour W Shafika and El-Jazeera (The Island). The Island was even considered for an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. In 2009, he played the main character in Ibrahim Labyad, a film that made people talk about society.
Recent Work
In 2010, Ahmed El Sakka appeared in Al-Dealer (The Dealer) and Ibn Alqonsol (The Consul's Son). He also had small guest roles in other films. In 2012, he starred in the TV series Khotout Hamra (Red Lines). He also acted with Ahmed Ezz in the action film Al-Maslaha (The Benefit), which was based on a true story.
In 2014, he returned as Mansour El Hefny in El-Jazeera 2 (The Island 2). This movie became the highest-earning film in Egyptian cinema at that time! He continued to star in successful films like 30 Years Ago (2016) and Horob Edterary (Forced Escape, 2017).
More recently, Ahmed El Sakka has starred in TV series like Weld El-Ghalaba (Son of the Poor, 2019) and Nasl El Aghrab (Offspring of Strangers, 2021). He also appeared in the film 200 Geneh (200 Pounds, 2021). In 2022, he starred in Al Ekhtiar 3 (The Choice 3) with other famous actors.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Ahmed El Sakka married Maha Al Sagheer on November 17, 1999. They have three children, two sons and a daughter.
Ahmed El Sakka loves horses very much. He owns many horses and is excellent at horse riding and training them! He even has his own stable for Arabian horses. Besides horses, his hobbies include shooting, playing football, singing, writing songs, and traveling.
Ahmed El Sakka is known for doing many of his own stunts. This means he often puts himself in challenging situations for his roles. He has had some injuries while filming, which shows his dedication. For example, while shooting Short W Fanelah W Cap, he almost had a dangerous encounter with sharks in the sea! During Mafia, he injured his knee and almost drowned in a scene. In Africano, he had a close call with a lion. While filming Taymour W Shafika in Ukraine, his clothes caught fire! He even temporarily lost his eyesight during El-Jazeera due to a small piece of metal entering his eye, but he recovered. These stories show how committed he is to making his action scenes look real and exciting for the audience.
