Aidan Yüçel Sezer (born 24 June 1991) is an Australian professional rugby league player. He plays as a halfback or five-eighth for Hull FC in the Super League.
Aidan has also played for the Gold Coast Titans and Canberra Raiders in Australia's NRL. In England, he played for the Huddersfield Giants and Leeds Rhinos in the Super League. He has also represented the Indigenous All Stars and New South Wales City teams.

Aidan Sezer's Early Life and Junior Career
Aidan Sezer was born in Bankstown, New South Wales, Australia. His father, Yüçel, is of Turkish background, and his mother is an Indigenous Australian.
Aidan started playing junior rugby league for the East Hills Bulldogs. Later, he joined the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. He played for their Toyota Cup team from 2010 to 2011. During this time, he scored over 300 points! In 2010, he was even named the five-eighth in the NYC Team of the Year. After 2011, Aidan moved to the Gold Coast Titans to find more chances to play in the top-level games.

Starting with the Gold Coast Titans (2012-2015)
2012: NRL Debut
In 2012, Aidan made his first-ever NRL appearance for the Gold Coast Titans. This was in Round 7 against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. He played as a five-eighth and even scored a try in their winning game. By the end of his first year, Aidan had played 18 matches. He scored four tries and kicked seven goals. In December, he signed a new contract to stay with the Gold Coast until 2015.
2013: All Stars Match
In 2013, Aidan was chosen to play for the Indigenous All Stars team. They played against the NRL All Stars and won! For the 2013 NRL season, Aidan played in 22 matches for the Gold Coast Titans. He scored one try and kicked 75 goals, showing his skill.
2014: Overcoming Injuries
The 2014 season was a bit tough for Aidan. He suffered a pectoral muscle injury in a game against the Brisbane Broncos. This meant he had to miss three months of playing. He returned later in the season, playing 13 matches. Despite the injury, he still scored four tries and kicked 23 goals.
2015: Moving to Canberra
In 2015, Aidan was part of the Gold Coast's 2015 NRL Auckland Nines squad. In April, he signed a three-year contract to join the Canberra Raiders starting in 2016. He finished his time with the Gold Coast having played 18 matches, scoring three tries, and kicking 51 goals.
Time with the Canberra Raiders (2016-2019)
2016: Joining the Raiders and City Origin
Aidan made his debut for the Canberra Raiders in Round 1 of the 2016 NRL season. He played as a halfback and scored two tries in their win against the Penrith Panthers. In May 2016, Aidan also played for the City Origin team. He played five-eighth and helped his team win by kicking 6 goals. He played 24 matches for Canberra this year, scoring 5 tries.
2017: Reaching 100 NRL Games
In 2017, Aidan was again part of Canberra's Auckland Nines squad. He also played for the Indigenous All Stars team, who won their game. In Round 5, Aidan played his 100th NRL career match! He played in all 24 of the Raiders' matches that season, scoring 4 tries and kicking 12 goals.
2018: Contract Extension and Training with Turkey
In June 2018, Aidan extended his contract with the Canberra Raiders until the end of the 2020 NRL season. He played 18 matches this year, scoring 2 tries. In October, Aidan even trained with the Turkey national rugby league team. This was for the 2018 Emerging Nations World Championship games.
2019: Grand Final Appearance
Aidan started the 2019 NRL season as the main halfback for Canberra. He kicked a field goal in their first game, helping them win. He later faced an injury but worked hard to get back into the team. In Round 23, Aidan played his 150th NRL game! In Round 24, he kicked three field goals, including the winning one in extra time, to help Canberra win a close game.
Aidan played a big part in Canberra reaching the 2019 NRL Grand Final. This was the first time the team had reached the final in 25 years! Canberra played well but lost the final to the Sydney Roosters. After the season, Aidan signed a two-year deal to join the Huddersfield Giants in the Super League in England.
Playing in the Super League (2020-Present)
2020-2021: With Huddersfield Giants
Aidan made 16 appearances for Huddersfield Giants in the 2020 Super League season. In 2021, he scored two tries and kicked two goals in a game where Huddersfield beat Leeds. In June 2021, Aidan played for the Combined Nations All Stars team. They won their game against England. In July, it was announced that Aidan would leave Huddersfield to join the Leeds Rhinos.
2022-2023: Joining Leeds Rhinos
In 2022, Aidan made his debut for Leeds Rhinos in their first game of the 2022 Super League season. Unfortunately, he missed the team's Grand Final game due to a concussion. In 2023, Aidan played 19 games for Leeds. In August, he signed a one-year deal to return to Australia and play for the Wests Tigers in 2024.
2024: Back in the NRL with Wests Tigers
Aidan made his debut for the Wests Tigers in Round 2 of the 2024 NRL season. In Round 4, he kicked a winning field goal to help his team upset the Parramatta Eels. He played 17 games for the Wests Tigers during the season. In September 2024, it was announced that Aidan had signed a two-year deal to return to the Super League and play for Hull F.C..
