Ajai Sanders (born Angela Marrine Wilson on October 1, 1967) is an American actress and stand-up comedian. She is most famous for her role as Gina Deveaux in the TV show A Different World. She played this character from 1991 until the show ended in 1993.

Ajai Sanders' Early Life and Career
Ajai Sanders grew up in Dallas, Texas. She went to Hillcrest High School and graduated in 1985. After high school, Sanders moved to Los Angeles. There, she started working as a stand-up comedian.
Her comedy work led to a chance to act on A Different World. At first, it was meant to be just one guest appearance. But the show's director, Debbie Allen, was very impressed with Ajai. Because of this, her role as Gina Deveaux grew. She appeared in five episodes that season. The next season, she was in 18 episodes. Soon after, her name was added to the show's opening credits.

Ajai Sanders has appeared in many other popular TV shows. These include Martin, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She also had roles in The Parent 'Hood, The Wayans Bros., The Jamie Foxx Show, and Moesha. In 2001, she was a guest star on the show The Division.
Sanders also acted in a movie called High Freakquency. She had a smaller part in the Christmas movie Jack Frost in 1998. She also appeared in the 2000 movie The Playaz Court. Today, she hosts a talk show called Multiple Personalities with Ajai Sanders on Business Bully TV.
Personal Life
Ajai Sanders has been married once. She does not have any children. In May 2002, she married Michael Brownlee in Denton, Texas. They later divorced in August 2016.
