Al Hudaydah (Arabic: الحديدة Al Ḥudaida) is a large area in Yemen. It is called a governorate, which is like a state or province. The main city and capital of this governorate is also called Al Hudaydah.

This region is very important because it is located along the Red Sea coast. This means it has access to the sea, which is great for trade and travel.

What is Al Hudaydah Governorate?

Al Hudaydah Governorate is one of the many governorates that make up the country of Yemen. It is located in the western part of Yemen. This area is known for its warm climate and coastal features.

The governorate covers a large area of about 17,509 square kilometers. In 2011, about 2.6 million people lived there. This makes it one of the more populated regions in Yemen.

Where is Al Hudaydah Located?

Al Hudaydah Governorate is situated on the western side of Yemen. It borders the Red Sea to the west. This coastal location is a key feature of the region.

To its north, you'll find the Hajjah Governorate. In the northeast, it shares borders with Al Mahwit Governorate and Sanaa Governorate. To the east, it is next to Raymah Governorate.

Moving southeast, it borders Dhamar Governorate and Ibb Governorate. Finally, to the south, it touches Ta'izz Governorate. Its position makes it a central hub for many parts of western Yemen.
