Alango Township is a small community located in Saint Louis County, Minnesota, United States. In 2010, about 258 people lived there. It's a quiet area with some main roads like County Road 22 and County Road 25. The town of Cook is also nearby.

Several small streams flow through Alango Township. Alango Creek runs through the northwest part. Paavola Creek briefly enters the south-central area. Gilmore Creek flows through the west-central and central parts.
A large part of the township is covered by forests. The southern third of Alango Township is inside the Superior National Forest. This is a huge forest area managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Also, the northwest, west-central, and southern parts of the township are within the Sturgeon River State Forest.
