Albert Popwell (born July 15, 1926 – died April 9, 1999) was an American actor. He worked on stage, television, and in movies. His acting career lasted for over 50 years!
Albert Popwell was born in New York City. Before he became an actor, he was a professional dancer. He started acting on Broadway (which is famous for its plays) when he was just 16 years old. His first show was called The Pirate.

Albert Popwell's Acting Career
Albert Popwell appeared in many television shows. But he is probably most famous for his movies with actor Clint Eastwood. They worked together in five films.
Working with Clint Eastwood
Albert Popwell and Clint Eastwood first appeared together in the movie Coogan's Bluff (1968). Popwell was also in the first four Dirty Harry movies. In each of these films, he played a different character.
One of his most famous scenes was in the first Dirty Harry movie (1971). He played a bank robber who was hurt. Clint Eastwood's character, Dirty Harry, said a very famous line to him: "Do you feel lucky?" This line became very well known!
In 1988, Albert Popwell was asked to be in The Dead Pool. This was the last movie in the Dirty Harry series. However, he could not be in it because he was busy with other work.

Albert Popwell acted in many other movies and TV shows. His last movie role was with actress Sharon Stone in Scissors (1991).
