Club Football Journey

Starting at Portadown

Alberto joined the youth team of the Northern Ireland club Portadown when he was 12 years old. At that time, he did not know any English. He became well-known because of a Google advertisement. This ad showed how his coaches used Google Translate to talk with him.

When he was 15, Alberto made history for Portadown. He became their youngest player ever to score a goal. This happened in a 2–1 win against Knockbreda in the NIFL Championship.

Time with Middlesbrough

In 2018, Alberto moved to England to join the reserve team of Middlesbrough. While there, he also had a short loan spell in November 2021. He played for a non-league club called Pickering Town.

Returning to Portadown and Loughgall

Middlesbrough released Alberto when his contract ended in June 2022. He then went back to play for Portadown. Later, he joined Loughgall, where he plays today.
