Aleksandra (Saška) Mojsilović, born in 1968, is a brilliant Serbian-American scientist. She studies artificial intelligence (AI), which is about making computers think like humans. Early Life and Education

Aleksandra Mojsilović was born in Belgrade, Serbia. She loved learning about how things work. She studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade. In 1997, she earned her PhD from this university.

Career Journey

After finishing her studies, Dr. Mojsilović worked as a professor at the University of Belgrade for a short time. From 1998 to 2000, she was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories in New Jersey. She then joined IBM Research in 2000. She worked there for many years, until 2023.

As of 2025, she is a senior director at Google. There, she focuses on "Responsible AI." This means she helps make sure that AI technologies are developed and used in a safe and ethical way. Before joining Google, she led the "Trustworthy AI" team at IBM Research. She also helped lead the "IBM Science for Social Good" program.
