Aleksandra Sergeyevna Soldatova (born June 1, 1998), also known as Sasha, is a famous retired Russian rhythmic gymnast. She was a member of the Russian national team from 2012 to 2020.
Soldatova is a four-time World Champion, winning three gold medals with the Russian team and one individual gold medal for her ribbon routine in 2018. She also won a bronze medal in the all-around competition at the 2018 World Championships. Throughout her career, she won many medals at the European Championships and the Grand Prix Final. She officially retired from gymnastics on December 24, 2020.

Personal Life
Aleksandra started a new chapter in her life after retiring from sports. On March 21, 2023, she gave birth to a baby boy named Nikolai.
Gymnastics Career
Aleksandra, or "Sasha" as she is often called, began her journey in rhythmic gymnastics when she was just five years old. She quickly showed amazing talent and dedication.
Junior Star
As a junior gymnast, Soldatova was one of the best in the world. In 2012, she had a fantastic year. She won a gold medal for her ribbon routine at the Junior European Championships. She also helped the Russian junior team win the team gold medal that same year. Her success as a junior showed that she was ready to compete with the best gymnasts in the world.
Senior Career
Rising to the Top (2014–2015)
Soldatova moved up to the senior level in 2014. She immediately made an impact, winning her first all-around gold medal at the 2014 Debrecen World Cup. Later that year, she competed at the 2014 World Championships with her teammates Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun. Together, they won the team gold medal for Russia.
In 2015, she continued to win medals at major events. At the 2015 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany, she once again helped Russia win the team gold. She also won two individual silver medals, one for her hoop routine and another for her clubs routine.
A Leader on the Team (2016–2018)
By 2016, Soldatova was one of Russia's top gymnasts. She won the all-around gold medal at the 2016 Russian Championships. She also won the all-around title at the 2016 Grand Prix Final, proving she was one of the best in the sport. She was chosen as the alternate for the Russian team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
After the Olympics, Soldatova became a leader for the Russian team. At the 2017 European Championships, she helped Russia win another team gold medal and won two individual silver medals for her hoop and ball routines.
Her biggest individual success came at the 2018 World Championships. She won the gold medal for her beautiful ribbon routine, becoming a World Champion. She also won a silver medal with the ball, a bronze medal in the all-around, and another gold medal with the Russian team.
Final Years and Retirement
Soldatova continued to compete at a high level in 2019, winning five gold medals at the Guadalajara World Challenge Cup. However, in 2020, she began to face some serious health challenges. She decided to take a break from training to focus on her health.
On December 24, 2020, Aleksandra Soldatova announced her retirement from competitive gymnastics, ending an incredible career.
Gymnastics Style
Soldatova was famous for her amazing flexibility and incredible turns, called pivots. She could perform very difficult moves that few other gymnasts could do. One of her signature moves was a "quintuple penchee turn," which means she could spin around five times while holding her leg up high in a split. Her graceful and difficult routines made her a fan favorite all over the world.
