Alen Avdić (born on April 3, 1977) is a former professional footballer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He played as a forward, which means he was one of the main players who tried to score goals for his team.
Club Career Highlights
Alen Avdić played for many different football clubs during his career. He was active in Iran's Premier Football League with Saba Battery FC. He also played in Belgium for Cercle Brugge and FC Denderleeuw in their second division league.
He moved to Germany to play for Chemnitzer FC in the 2. Bundesliga. Later, he played in Asia for Avispa Fukuoka in Japan's J2 League and Suwon Samsung Bluewings in South Korea's K-league.
In 2009, Alen returned to his home country and joined one of Bosnia's most famous football teams, FK Sarajevo. He scored an important goal for FK Sarajevo in a UEFA Europa League match against Helsingborgs IF. His goal helped his team win that game 2–1, and they eventually won the match after a penalty shootout.
Playing for His Country
Alen Avdić also represented his country, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in international football matches. He made his first appearance for the national team in March 1999 during a friendly game against Hungary.
He played a total of three matches for his country. His last international game was in October 1999, which was a European Championship qualification match against Estonia.
