Alex Papps (born 11 February 1969) is a popular Australian actor, television host, writer, and singer. He is well-known to many Australians for his roles in famous TV shows like Home and Away and as a friendly presenter on the children's program Play School.

Early Life and Education
Alex Papps was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1969. His parents were both teachers who also enjoyed directing theatre plays in their spare time. Growing up, Alex attended several schools in the Melbourne area, including Upwey High School.
Even before he finished school, Alex was already acting in theatre productions. After high school, he decided to pursue his passion for acting and studied drama at Box Hill College of TAFE in Melbourne. Later, he also graduated from the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Acting Career
First Television Roles
Alex's television career began in 1987 with a guest role in the popular TV series Neighbours. Soon after, he landed his first major role in the children's show The Henderson Kids II. He was cast as Vinnie Cerantino, the leader of a gang of kids, after impressing the producers in his auditions.
Becoming a Household Name
Alex became famous across Australia for playing Frank Morgan, one of the original characters in the long-running TV show Home and Away. His role as Frank made him a well-known face in many Australian homes. During this time, he also hosted a music show called The Factory.
In 2018, Alex returned to Home and Away for a special episode to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary. He appeared alongside Nicolle Dickson, who played his character's wife on the show.
Connecting with a New Generation
Since 2005, Alex has been a presenter on the beloved ABC children's show, Play School. On the show, he often appears with Justine Clarke, who was also his co-star on Home and Away.
Alex also loves music and has released an album of children's songs called "Let's Put the Beat in Our Feet".
