Alexa Davalos Dunas (born May 28, 1982) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in TV shows and movies. Some of her early TV roles included Gwen Raiden in the series Angel (2002–2003). She also appeared in Hollywood films like The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) and Defiance (2008). Later, she starred as Juliana Crain in the Amazon Studios series The Man in the High Castle. From 2021 to 2023, she played Special Agent Kristin Gaines in the CBS show FBI: Most Wanted.

Early Life and Background
Alexa Davalos was born in Paris, France. Her parents are American. Her father, Jeff Dunas, is a photographer. Her mother, Elyssa Davalos, is an actress. Alexa's grandfather was also an actor named Richard Davalos.
She spent much of her childhood in France and Italy. Later, her family moved to New York. She has said that she often curses in French!
Her family background is quite diverse. On her mother's side, she has Spanish and Finnish roots. Her father's family is Jewish, with ancestors from Lithuania. She grew up without a strong religious background. However, she did attend Hebrew school for a short time.
When she was seventeen, Davalos moved to New York City on her own. She worked as a model for famous photographers like Peter Lindbergh. She wanted to explore the world and do her own thing. While working in a theater, she discovered her love for acting. She decided to study acting at the Off-Broadway Flea Theater in New York. She kept her acting plans a secret from her family until her career began to take off.

In 2002, Davalos appeared in a short film called The Ghost of F. Scott Fitzgerald. It was shown at the 2002 Toronto International Film Festival. Davalos continued to act in Hollywood films. In 2007, she was in the romantic drama Feast of Love. She also played Sally in The Mist, a horror film directed by Frank Darabont. In 2008, Davalos played the love interest of Daniel Craig in the war film Defiance. Critics praised her performance in this movie.
In 2010, Davalos played Andromeda in the movie Clash of the Titans. She acted alongside stars like Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes, and Liam Neeson. The movie received mixed reviews but made a lot of money. She could not return for the sequel, Wrath of the Titans, because of other work commitments.

Alexa Davalos is good friends with actresses Amanda Righetti and Chyler Leigh. She was even a bridesmaid at Amanda Righetti's wedding. Davalos describes herself as a "dork." She enjoys traveling and reading in her free time. She likes to keep her private life out of the public eye. She believes it's a choice to decide what affects you and what doesn't.
Davalos married actor Josh Stewart on May 19, 2019. They had worked together on the second season of the Netflix series The Punisher.
