Alexander Jerome Gould, born on May 4, 1994, is an American acting agent. He used to be an actor. He is famous for being the voice of Nemo in the Pixar movie Finding Nemo. He also played Shane Botwin in the TV show Weeds. For his role in Weeds, he was nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Early Life and Education

Alexander Jerome Gould was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 4, 1994. He has two younger sisters, Emma and Kelly, who also acted. His family is Jewish. They were active in a youth group called United Synagogue Youth.

After finishing the TV show Weeds in 2012, Alexander took a gap year. He lived in Israel for almost a year as part of a program called Nativ. He then started college at Clark University in 2013. Later, he moved to Brandeis University. He graduated in 2017 with degrees in philosophy and politics.

In June 2018, Alexander Gould married Lieba Hall. They live in Los Angeles.

Acting Career Highlights

Alexander started acting when he was just two years old. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had small parts in many popular TV shows. When he was nine, he got the main voice role in the movie Finding Nemo. He also played David Collins in a new version of the TV show Dark Shadows. However, that show's first episode was not picked up by the TV network.

From ages ten to eighteen, Alexander was a main actor in the TV series Weeds. He played Shane Botwin in all eight seasons of the show. For this role, he was nominated twice for an award. This award was for the best group performance in a comedy series at the SAG Awards. While working on Weeds, he also had guest roles in other shows. He was part of the cast of the 2006 movie How to Eat Fried Worms. He also voiced Bambi in the movie Bambi II.

In 2012, Alexander decided to take a break from acting to go to college. During this time, he had two small voice acting roles. He voiced Jimmy Olsen in the 2013 animated movie Superman: Unbound. He also had a small voice part in the 2016 movie Finding Dory. In 2018, he started working for the Abrams Acting Agency.
