Alexander Unton's main home was Wadley House. It was located in a place called Faringdon. Back then, Faringdon was in Berkshire, but today it is part of Oxfordshire.

His family, the Untons, also had rights to another important place called Minster Lovell Hall. They held this property from the king himself.

Alexander Unton was married twice. His first wife was Mary Bourchier. She was the daughter of a nobleman named John Bourchier, 2nd Baron Berners. In 1533, he married his second wife, Cecily Bulstrode. She was from Hedgerley in Buckinghamshire.

Being made a Knight of the Bath was a very special honor in England. It was given to people by the king or queen, often during important events like a coronation. Life and Legacy

Alexander Unton received this great honor himself. He was made a Knight of the Bath at the coronation of Edward VI. This happened on February 20, 1547.

His Later Life and Death

Sadly, Alexander Unton did not live much longer after becoming a knight. He passed away on December 16, 1547.

After Alexander's death, his wife Cecily married again. Her second husband was Robert Keilway. Cecily and Robert later had a daughter named Anne Keilway.
