Alexander Unton was the son of Thomas Unton and Elizabeth Hyde. His father, Thomas Unton, was given the special title of a knight during the coronation of Queen Anne Boleyn. This was a big honor!
His Family and Homes
Alexander Unton's main home was Wadley House. It was located in a place called Faringdon. Back then, Faringdon was in Berkshire, but today it is part of Oxfordshire.
His family, the Untons, also had rights to another important place called Minster Lovell Hall. They held this property from the king himself.
Alexander Unton was married twice. His first wife was Mary Bourchier. She was the daughter of a nobleman named John Bourchier, 2nd Baron Berners. In 1533, he married his second wife, Cecily Bulstrode. She was from Hedgerley in Buckinghamshire.

Sadly, Alexander Unton did not live much longer after becoming a knight. He passed away on December 16, 1547.
After Alexander's death, his wife Cecily married again. Her second husband was Robert Keilway. Cecily and Robert later had a daughter named Anne Keilway.
