Fast Horse
One of her most famous films is Fast Horse. This documentary is about Blackfoot Indian Relay racers. Indian Relay is an exciting horse racing sport where riders jump off one horse and onto another at top speed. Alexandra made this film to honor Thomas Many Guns of the Siksika Nation, who helped bring this sport back to his community.
Fast Horse won a special award for directing at the famous Sundance Film Festival. It also won the Best Documentary award at the 2018 ImagineNATIVE Film and Media Arts Festival. At the 2019 Yorkton Film Festival, Fast Horse won three big awards: Best of Festival, Best Indigenous film, and Best Multicultural film.

Alexandra also directed Cree Code Talker (2016). This film tells the story of a man who used his Indigenous language to send secret messages during World War II. It won Best Documentary at the 2016 ImagineNATIVE Festival.
Her short documentary LAKE is about Métis women who catch fish using nets. The National Film Board of Canada helped produce this film. LAKE was first shown at the 2019 Hot Docs Festival in Toronto. It was also shown at the 2019 ImagineNATIVE festival.
