This is known as a "cold drop" event. The Acequia Real de Moncada also crosses the area. This is an important old irrigation channel.

The History of Alfara del Patriarca

Like many towns in its region, Alfara del Patriarca started as a farm during the Muslim era. In 1249, King Jaime I conquered the area. He then gave the land to a person named Ximén Pérez from Aragon.

Later, the land was passed on to Guillén Jáfer and Bonifacio Ferrer. They turned it into a "manor." A manor was a large estate or property. It was often controlled by a lord or a wealthy family.
