Alfred Pfaff (born July 16, 1926 – died December 27, 2008) was a famous German football player. He was a key part of the West Germany team that won the FIFA World Cup in 1954. Pfaff was known for his amazing skills as a midfielder and his powerful left foot. He spent most of his club career playing for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Alfred Pfaff's Football Journey
Alfred Pfaff played for the West German national team seven times. This was between 1953 and 1956. He scored two goals for his country. He usually played as an attacking midfielder, helping to create chances for his team.
World Cup Hero
The biggest moment in Pfaff's career was winning the 1954 FIFA World Cup in Switzerland. This was a huge achievement for West Germany. Pfaff played in one match during the tournament. This was against Hungary, where he scored a goal in the 26th minute. West Germany won the World Cup that year, making him a national hero.
Club Legend: Eintracht Frankfurt
Alfred Pfaff played for Eintracht Frankfurt for many years. He was a true leader on the field. People often called him Don Alfredo because of his skill. He was known for his excellent ball control and amazing free kicks.
With Eintracht Frankfurt, he won the German Championship in 1959. In 1960, his team reached the finals of the European Cup. They played against the famous team Real Madrid.
One of his most memorable games was against Rangers in 1960. Eintracht Frankfurt won the first game 6–1. They then won the second game 6–3 in Glasgow. Pfaff retired from football in 1962 when he was 36 years old.
Life After Football
Besides playing football, Alfred Pfaff was also a businessman. He owned a bar in Frankfurt. Later, he became a barkeeper and hotel keeper. He lived in Zittenfelden, a town in Germany.
