Alice Mamaga Akosua Amoako facts for kids
Alice Mamaga Akosua Amoako is a Ghanaian social entrepreneur. This means she starts projects to help people and solve problems in society. She founded an organization called Autism Ambassadors of Ghana. She also helped create a special app called Autism Aid.
Growing Up and Learning
When Alice was 13, she joined a radio show for young people called 'Curious Minds'. Her mom encouraged her to do this! Later, she went to Ghana Communication Technology University. In 2015, she earned her degree in Information Technology.
Making a Difference: Her Work
In 2014, Alice Amoako started the Autism Ambassadors of Ghana. This group works to spread awareness about Autism. They also use technology to make life better for autistic people.
Alice worked with Solomon Avemegah to create an Android application called Autism Aid. This app helps autistic children in Ghana and West Africa. It gives them ways to communicate and find healthcare information.
Alice is also part of a national committee for the United Nations. This committee works on the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. In 2016, she spoke at the World Youth Summit for Girl Guides. She also represented Ghana at a big event in Sweden called the Global Social Hackathon.
