Early Life and Growing Up in San Marino

Alice Mina was born on 22 April 1987 in Borgo Maggiore, a town located in San Marino. San Marino is one of the smallest and oldest republics in the whole world. Growing up there, Mina wanted to learn how nations interact with each other. She went to university and earned a master's degree in international and diplomatic studies. After completing her studies, she worked as an office professional before she chose to enter public service.

Political Career and Working for the Public

Mina decided to step into politics to help improve her community and country. She joined the Sammarinese Christian Democratic Party in the year 2009. She started out by helping with party activities and organizing group meetings. Over time, her colleagues noticed her strong leadership skills. She earned spots on the party's central council and joined its national leadership groups.

In December 2024, Mina became the president of the central council for the Sammarinese Christian Democratic Party. In that top role, she worked closely alongside party secretary Gian Carlo Venturini and took over from Pasquale Valentini.

Service in the Grand and General Council

Mina became an elected lawmaker in the Grand and General Council in 2019. In this lawmaking body, she served as the vice president for her group within the Sammarinese Christian Democratic Party. She helped check state spending on the permanent council commission for finance and budget.

From 1 April 2026 to 1 October 2026, Mina served as a Captain Regent of San Marino alongside Vladimiro Selva. San Marino always chooses two leaders together for six months to guide the country. They followed the previous team of Matteo Rossi and Lorenzo Bugli. Later, they passed the duties to Gerardo Giovagnoli and William Casali.
