Mohammad Aliff bin Aziz (born on February 16, 1991) is a Singaporean singer and actor. He is currently based in Malaysia. Aliff is managed by Sony Music BMG Malaysia.

In July 2007, he won a TV singing competition called Anugerah. He was the youngest winner ever at just 16 years old. Later that year, Aliff released his first album, also called "Aliff". It sold 300,000 copies across Southeast Asia. His first song, "Sayang Sayang", was downloaded over 1 million times as a ringtone.

Aliff has released four albums so far: Aliff (2007), It's Aliff's Time (2009), Aliff Aziz (2011), and Rebirth (2017).

Early Life and Education

Aliff Aziz was born on February 16, 1991. He is the first child of Aziz Sapdan and Siti Hafiza Sheikh Mohamad. His family is Malay with some Arab heritage. Three years after Aliff, his twin sisters, Nur Aisyah Binte Aziz and Nur A'in Binte Aziz, were born.

Aliff went to Zhenghua Secondary School until 2007. There, he passed his 'N' Level exams. In 2008, he studied at a private school to get his 'O' Level certificate.

Career Highlights

Aliff became the youngest winner of Anugerah 2007 when he was 16. Winning the contest gave him a recording deal with Sony BMG. He also received a cash prize of S$10,000. In the same year, he released his first album, "Aliff". It sold 3,000 copies in just two weeks. His song "Sayang-Sayang" reached number four on the charts of Malay radio station Ria 89.7FM.

After his win, Aliff appeared in many Mediacorp TV shows. These included Sinar Lebaran 2007 and 2008, and Khayalan. He also appeared in a short KFC advertisement in 2007. In 2008, a Malaysian magazine reported that he was busy balancing his studies for 'O' levels with his singing career.

In 2009, Aliff Aziz joined National Service in Singapore. He worked as an instructor at the Singapore Civil Defence Force. In 2010, he was moved to an admin role. This allowed him to focus more on his singing.

During his service, Aliff released his second album, "It's Aliff's Time". It included popular songs like "Cinta" and "Kalau Cinta". "Kalau Cinta" featured Malaysian singer Joanna. This song topped the radio charts for several months. Aliff also performed as a singer for the Singapore Civil Defence Force Music Performing Arts Club (MPAC).

In 2011, Aliff finished his National Service. He then moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There, he continued his career as a singer, model, and actor.

In early 2012, Aliff released his third album, "Aliff Aziz". The music video for his song "Jangan Ganggu Pacarku" got 1 million views in just 24 hours. Other songs like "Cinta Ya Cinta" and "Setiap Detik" were used as soundtracks for TV dramas.

Aliff also started acting. His first drama was a comedy and musical show called "Antara Kita". It was about teenagers working at a graphic design company. The show had 13 episodes and featured actors like Zaibo and Fara Fauzana.

In December 2021, Aliff joined Gegar Vaganza, a singing competition in Malaysia. He won the competition and was crowned champion. He also received RM 100,000 as a prize.

Personal Life

In 2016, Aliff married Malaysian singer and actress Bella Astillah. They had been dating for almost two years. Their wedding reception was held in Shah Alam, Selangor, with about 1,000 guests. They have a son born in 2017 and a daughter born in 2020.

Aliff Aziz and Bella divorced in 2019 but got back together in 2020. In March 2024, Bella filed for divorce again. The process was ongoing As of 8 April  2024 (2024 -04-08)^[update].
