Allerston, once called Allersville, is a small community in Alberta, Canada. It is part of the County of Warner No. 5. An "unincorporated community" means it's a settlement that doesn't have its own local government.
Allerston is about 25 kilometers (15 miles) east of the town of Milk River. It is also about 18 kilometers (11 miles) north of the Canada–US border. You can find it just off Highway 501. The community was named after Jacob Allers, an early settler in the area.

What's Left in Allerston?
Today, Allerston has a Roman Catholic Church and the Allerston Hall. There are also baseball diamonds nearby.
The Church
The church was built in 1911 and first opened its doors on July 28, 1912. It is still used by the community today. At one point, the church building was moved 20 feet (6 meters) north to a new foundation. Behind the church, there is a cemetery.
Allerston Hall
The Allerston Hall is also still in use. It hosts the annual Fall Bazaar, which is a fun event for the community.

Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park
Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park is a very special place close to Allerston. It is one of the biggest protected areas of prairie land in Alberta. The park helps protect nature and also has the largest collection of rock art made by the Plains People.
There are more than 50 rock art sites in the park. These sites have thousands of figures carved or painted on rocks. The park also has many important archeological sites. These sites help us learn about the history of the people who lived there long ago.
