Alloway Creek is a cool stream, about 13.5-mile-long (21.7 km). It flows through parts of Pennsylvania and Maryland in the United States. This creek is like a smaller helper stream that joins the Monocacy River. Together, they are both part of the much larger Potomac River system.
Where Alloway Creek Flows
Alloway Creek starts its journey in Pennsylvania. From there, it winds its way through the northwest part of Carroll County, Maryland. It also flows through the southeast area of Adams County, Pennsylvania. Finally, the creek reaches a place called Palmer. Here, it empties its waters into the Monocacy River. It also connects with another stream called Piney Creek.

The Starners Dam Bridge is a special bridge that crosses over Alloway Creek. It is made of steel and is a type called a stringer bridge. You can find this bridge on Baptist Road in Taneytown. Taneytown is located in Carroll County, Maryland. Sometimes, people also call this bridge the Alloway Creek Bridge.
