Grenoble-Isère Airport (also known as Grenoble - Saint-Geoirs Airport) is an important airport that serves the city of Grenoble in France. Its airport codes are GNB (for IATA) and LFLS (for ICAO).

The airport is located about 40 kilometers (25 miles) northwest of Grenoble. It is also 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) north-northwest of a town called Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs. Both of these places are in the Isère area, which is a département (like a county) in France. The name "Isère" comes from this region.

Learning at the Airport

Did you know that a special school for aviation is also located at Grenoble-Isère Airport? It's a campus of the École nationale de l'aviation civile, which is France's national university for civil aviation. This means students can learn all about flying and working in the aviation industry right there at the airport!
