Alpine Valley Ski Area is a cool place to ski and snowboard in Ohio, USA. It's located in Munson Township, near Chesterland. This resort first opened way back in 1965. What Can You Do at Alpine Valley?
Alpine Valley has 11 different trails for you to explore. You can ski, snowboard, or even try downhill tubing! If you're new to skiing or snowboarding, don't worry. The resort has over 100 instructors ready to teach you. They are part of a group called the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA).
Trails for Everyone
The trails at Alpine Valley are for all skill levels. There's a gentle "bunny hill" that's perfect for beginners. If you're an expert, you can check out the terrain park. It even has Ohio's biggest half pipe! You can also enjoy skiing or snowboarding at night. The resort has bright lights all over the trails for evening fun.
Snow and Facilities
Even though Alpine Valley gets a lot of natural snow (about 120 inches every year!), they also make their own snow. When the temperature drops below 28 degrees Fahrenheit, they can make snow on all the runs. This helps make sure there's always enough snow for you to enjoy.
The resort has a main lodge where you can relax. Inside, you'll find a cafeteria to grab some food. There's also a deck and a comfy lounging area.
