Aluminium Hormozgan F.C. is a football club from Iran. It was started in 2006. The team is based in the city of Bandar Abbas, Iran. They play in the Azadegan League, which is one of Iran's football leagues. In 2008, they became the first club from the Hormozgan area to play in Iran's top football league, the Persian Gulf Pro League.
History of the Club
Aluminium Hormozgan was founded in 2006. The team quickly moved up through the leagues. In 2012, they reached the Iran Pro League. This is the highest football league in Iran. They were the first team from the Hormozgan region to play in this top league.
However, they only stayed in the top league for one season. They finished 15th and were moved down to the Azadegan League. This is called being "relegated." Later, in 2016, Aluminium Hormozgan was relegated again. They moved down to the 2nd Division.
