Alyson Michalka (born March 25, 1989) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She is often known as Aly Michalka. She became famous for her role as Keely Teslow in the Disney Channel TV show Phil of the Future (2004–2006). Aly has also appeared in many movies like Bandslam (2009) and Easy A (2010). She also starred in TV series such as Hellcats (2010–2011) and iZombie (2015–2019).
Aly Michalka is also part of a music group called Aly & AJ with her sister, AJ.

Early Life and Family
Aly Michalka was born in Torrance, California, USA. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, and Southern California. Her younger sister, Amanda Joy "AJ", is also an actress and musician. Their mother, Carrie, is a musician. Aly's parents are divorced.
Aly started playing the piano when she was five years old. She learned to play the guitar at age 13. She began acting in church plays when she was five. She was raised as a Christian.
Acting Career Highlights
In 2004, Aly got the role of Keely Teslow in the Disney Channel show Phil of the Future. The show started on June 18, 2004, and ran for two seasons until August 2006. She also starred in Disney Channel movies like Now You See It... and Cow Belles with her sister.
Aly and her sister worked on several projects for Disney Channel and MTV. In 2007, they were in the MTV movie Super Sweet 16: The Movie. In 2009, Aly co-starred in the film Bandslam. In 2010, she was cast as Marti Perkins in The CW cheerleading drama Hellcats. The show was not renewed after its first season in 2011.
Aly also had important roles in movies like Easy A (2010) and The Roommate (2011). In 2013, she appeared in the movie Crazy Kind of Love. She also had a role in the TV show Two and a Half Men. From 2015 to 2019, Aly had a main role as Peyton Charles in the CW series iZombie.
Music Career with Aly & AJ
Aly and her sister AJ formed their music group, Aly & AJ, in 2004. Their first album, Into the Rush, came out on August 16, 2005. In September 2006, they released a holiday album called Acoustic Hearts of Winter. Their third album, Insomniatic, was released in July 2007. It included their popular song "Potential Breakup Song".
For a short time, the duo changed their name to 78violet. They planned to release a new album, but it did not happen. In 2013, they returned with new music, releasing the single "Hothouse". In December 2015, they went back to their original name, "Aly & AJ". They released a new single called "Take Me" in 2017. On May 7, 2021, they released their album A Touch of the Beat Gets You Up on Your Feet Gets You Out and Then Into the Sun.
Personal Life
Aly Michalka married independent film producer Stephen Ringer on June 6, 2015, in Italy. They met while working on the movie Sequoia in 2012. They welcomed their son on April 21, 2024.
