Alyssa Chia (born October 7, 1974) is a famous actress and TV host from Taiwan. She is also known by her Chinese name, Jia Jingwen.
Alyssa has starred in many popular TV shows. Some of her well-known roles include historical dramas like The Prince of Han Dynasty and The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. She also appeared in Lady Wu: The First Empress.
More recently, she gained a lot of praise for her role in the TV series The World Between Us in 2019. For this role, she won her first Best Leading Actress award. In 2021, she won a Golden Horse Award for Best Leading Actress for her work in the movie The Falls.

Alyssa Chia's Career Journey
Alyssa Chia started her journey in entertainment after leaving the Beijing Film Academy. She was discovered by an agent in Taiwan. Her first jobs included advertising for a food company and hosting children's TV shows.
Early Roles and Rise to Fame
In 2003, Alyssa starred in the The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber TV series. This show was based on a famous Chinese novel by Jin Yong. She worked alongside actors like Gao Yuanyuan and Alec Su.
She then appeared in several other TV series, such as Jia Jiafu and The Chicken and the Duck. Her role in Four Princesses helped her become very popular. After starring in Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, she became a well-known actress. Soon, she started working in the Chinese entertainment market. There, she starred in many more TV shows, including The Prince of Han Dynasty and Lady Wu: The First Empress.
In 2012, Alyssa joined an ad campaign for PETA. She encouraged pet owners to spay or neuter their dogs and cats. This helps control the pet population.
Alyssa Chia's Personal Life
Alyssa Chia's family originally comes from Tianjin, China.
She married Charles Sun Zhihao and had her first daughter, Angelina Sun Ling Qian. They later divorced in 2010. They both share responsibility for their daughter, but Alyssa is her main guardian.
On August 14, 2015, Alyssa married actor Hsiu Chieh-kai. They welcomed their second daughter, Hsiu Yun-fei. In 2017, their third daughter, Hsiu Si-yu, was born on March 15. Later that year, Alyssa and her husband took part in and won the fourth season of The Amazing Race China.
