How Amaggi Started

The Amaggi Group was started in 1977 by a man named André Maggi. He was of Italian background. At first, his company focused on producing seeds for farming.

Growing the Business

In the 1980s, André Maggi bought large areas of land in a Brazilian state called Mato Grosso. This is where he began growing soybeans. He even helped build a city there called Sapezal.

New Leaders

André Maggi passed away in 2001. After his death, his son, Blairo Maggi, took over the company. Later, in late 2017, Judiney Carvalho became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amaggi. He leads the company today.
