Early Life and Name
Amanda Blank was born in 1983 in Germantown, a neighborhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She grew up in a type of house called a row house with her older sisters. Her parents were both artists. Amanda chose her stage name, Amanda Blank, because she liked the character Jerri Blank from the TV show Strangers with Candy.
Music Career
Amanda Blank often works with another rapper named Naeem. They have made several songs together. Some of their well-known songs include "Blow" and "Bump." Her music has been featured in popular TV shows like HBO's Life Support and CSI: NY.
In 2007, Amanda Blank signed with Downtown Records, a record label. Her first solo album, called I Love You, came out in August 2009. Famous music producers like Diplo and Dave Sitek helped create this album. Her first single from the album was "Might Like You Better."
