America's Next Top Model (cycle 5) was the fifth season of the popular TV show America's Next Top Model. In this show, young people compete to become a top fashion model. This season was special because it was the first time that famous model Twiggy and runway coach J. Alexander joined as judges.
The winner of this season received some amazing prizes. They got a modeling contract with Ford Models, a photo spread and cover in Elle Girl magazine, and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl makeup.
The show originally planned to have its final fashion show in London, England. However, due to safety concerns that happened in London in July 2005, the final show was moved to Los Angeles.
This season had 13 contestants, which was a bit fewer than some past seasons. The winner was 19-year-old Nicole Linkletter from Grand Forks, North Dakota. Erica 'Nik' Pace came in second place. Interestingly, Lisa D'Amato, who finished sixth in this season, later won another season called All-Stars.
