Amir's Early Life and Family
Amir's father moved to Brazil when he was in his early twenties. He started working in the textile business, which means making fabrics and clothes. Later, his father opened his own factory. Before coming to Brazil, Amir's father lived in Israel for a few years, where he met Amir's mother. Amir remembers that his parents often spoke to each other in Hebrew.
From History Teacher to Fashion Designer
Before becoming a fashion designer, Amir Slama was actually a history professor! With help from his wife, he decided to start the fashion brand Rosa Chá. His amazing talent quickly became well-known in the fashion world. Rosa Chá designs were often shown in very famous fashion magazines. These included Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, and Sports Illustrated.
Friendship with a Supermodel
Amir Slama became friends with the famous supermodel Naomi Campbell. This happened after she visited his shop in São Paulo. Since then, Naomi Campbell has often modeled his beautiful collections on the runway.
