Shernette Amoy Evans, known as Ammoye, is a talented reggae musician. She was born in Jamaica and later moved to Canada. Ammoye is famous for her music and has been nominated seven times for the Juno Award for Reggae Recording of the Year. The Juno Awards are like the biggest music awards in Canada!

Ammoye's Early Life and Music Journey

Ammoye grew up in a place called Halse Hall in Jamaica. When she was a teenager, she moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In the 2000s, she became a part of Toronto's lively music scene. She even contributed music to a special album called Version Xcursion, which featured songs by Jamaican Canadian artists. Her very first album was Haffi Win. She made this album with Eric Vani, who is also known as Rise Ashen.
