Her musical inspirations include famous bands like The Beatles, R.E.M, and Nirvana. These groups helped shape her unique sound.
Forming the Band Dover
Amparo Llanos co-founded Dover in 1992. The band included her sister Cristina on vocals and guitar. Jesús Antúnez played the drums, and Alvaro Díez played the bass.
Dover released their first album, Sister, in 1995. It was a slow start for the band, selling about 700 copies.
Rising to Fame
Two years later, in 1997, Dover released their second album, Devil Came to Me. This album became a huge success! It sold an amazing 800,000 copies. This made Dover a very popular band in Spain.
They continued to release successful albums like Late at Night (1999) and I Was Dead for 7 Weeks in the City of Angels (2001). In 2003, they released The Flame.
Exploring New Sounds
In 2006, Dover released Follow the City Lights. With this album, the band changed their musical style. They started to include more electronic sounds in their music.
A few years later, in 2010, they released I Ka Kené. This album had a strong influence from African music. It showed how much Dover loved to experiment with different sounds.
Returning to Rock Roots
