About Cristina Llanos
Cristina went to Virgen de Europa School when she was younger. After finishing school, she worked in clothing stores that her mother owned. Her older sister, Amparo Llanos, was a big influence on her. Amparo taught Cristina how to play the guitar. She also introduced Cristina to famous bands like The Beatles, R.E.M., and Nirvana.
Starting the Band Dover
Cristina began her music journey in 1992. She started the band Dover with her sister Amparo and their friend Jesús Antúnez. They later found a bassist named Alvaro Díez.
Dover's Music Journey
Dover released their first album, "Sister", in 1995. It did not sell many copies, which was a bit disappointing. However, two years later, they released "Devil Came to Me". This album was a huge success, selling 800,000 copies!
In 2006, Dover released "Follow the City Lights". With this album, their music style changed to include more electronic sounds. A few years later, they released "I Ka Kené", which had a strong influence from African music. In February 2015, Dover released their album "Complications". With this album, they went back to their original rock sound. Cristina wrote most of the songs for the band.
