Ampoigné (pronounced ahm-pwah-NYAY) was once a small town, known as a commune, located in the northwest part of France. It was part of the Mayenne department. On January 1, 2018, Ampoigné joined with another commune to form a new, larger commune called Prée-d'Anjou. This means Ampoigné is no longer a separate commune on its own.
