An Yong-Hak (Hangul: 안영학; born 25 October 1978) is a former professional footballer. He played as a midfielder, helping his team control the middle of the field. An Yong-Hak was born in Japan. He proudly represented the North Korea in international matches.

An Yong-Hak's Football Journey
Starting Out in Japan
An Yong-Hak began his football career in Japan. He played for Rissho University from 1998 to 2001. After university, he joined Albirex Niigata in 2002. He played there for three seasons.
In 2003, he helped Albirex Niigata win the J2 League title. This win meant the team moved up to the top league, the J1 League. He then moved to Nagoya Grampus Eight in 2005.
Playing in South Korea
From 2006 to 2009, An Yong-Hak played in South Korea. He joined Busan IPark in 2006. He played as a strong defensive midfielder.
In 2008, he moved to Suwon Bluewings. This was a very successful time for him. He helped Suwon Bluewings win the K League 1 title in 2008. They also won the Korean League Cup in 2008 and the Korean FA Cup in 2009.
Return to Japan
An Yong-Hak returned to Japan in 2010. He played for Omiya Ardija for one season. In 2011, he joined Kashiwa Reysol.
With Kashiwa Reysol, he achieved another big success. They won the J1 League title in 2011. The team also won the Japanese Super Cup in 2012. He played for Kashiwa Reysol until 2012.
After a short break, he joined Yokohama in 2014. He played there until 2017 before ending his professional playing career.
Playing for His Country
An Yong-Hak played for the North Korea from 2002 to 2012. He was a key player for his country. He played in 40 international matches and scored 3 goals.
One of his most notable achievements was playing in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. This was a huge moment for North Korean football. He also played in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup.
In 2018, he briefly played for the United Koreans in Japan team. He also managed this team for a short period.
