Anna Serhiivna Layevska (born January 10, 1982), known as Ana Layevska, is a talented actress and singer. She was born in Ukraine and later became a Mexican citizen. She is famous for her roles in many telenovelas, which are like long TV dramas, and films.
Early life
Ana Layevska was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her parents were both artists: her father, Serhii Laievskyi, was a violinist, and her mother, Inna Rastsvetaeva, was an actress. Ana is their only child.
When she was five years old, Ana and her family moved from Kyiv to Moscow. A few years later, in 1991, they moved to Mexico. Ana started playing the violin at age five. After moving to Mexico, she began her journey into acting.
Career
In Mexico, Ana studied acting at the Centro de Educación Artística of Televisa, a big TV company. Her skills helped her get small roles in music videos and early telenovelas. Some of these included Alguna vez tendremos alas (1997), Preciosa (1998), and Amor Gitano (1999). These roles gave her valuable experience.
Her big break came in 2000 with the telenovela Primer amor... a mil por hora. In this show, she worked with other popular young actors. For her role, she won the TVyNovelas Award for Best Female Revelation. This award is given to a new actress who shows great promise.
In 2001, Ana starred in her first movie, In the Time of the Butterflies. She acted alongside famous stars like Salma Hayek. Later, in 2005, she joined the reality TV show Bailando Por Un Sueño. This show paired celebrities with people who dreamed of dancing. Ana placed third in the competition.
Ana has played many different characters in her career. She often appears in telenovelas produced by Telemundo. She played a main villain in Mi Corazón Insiste in 2011. In 2012, she had a main role in Relaciones Peligrosas. The next year, in 2013, she was the lead character in Dama y obrero.
In 2016, she returned to Televisa for the series Sin rastro de ti. Here, she played the main bad guy, Camila Borges. She continues to act in various TV shows and films, showing her wide range of talent.
Personal life
Besides acting, Ana Layevska is also a singer. She plays two musical instruments: the violin and the piano. When she was younger, she took classes in classical music.
Ana is very good with languages. She can speak Russian, Spanish, and English fluently.
Since 2014, Ana has been married to a businessman named Rodrigo Moreira. They have two children together: a daughter named Masha and a son named Santiago.
