Ancasti, also known as Villa Ancasti, is a small town in Catamarca Province, Argentina. It is the main town of the Ancasti Department.
This town was founded a long time ago, on September 26, 1735. It was established by Don Pedro Pablo Acosta. Every year, on Christmas Eve (December 24), the people of Ancasti celebrate a special festival for their patron saint.
