Roman mythology is a big collection of exciting stories from Ancient Rome. These tales explain how the world began and tell about the amazing lives of gods, goddesses, heroes, and heroines.

You might hear Roman myths called "Greco-Roman." That's because they are very much like the stories from Greek mythology that the Ancient Greeks told!

Meet the Roman Gods and Goddesses

In Roman myths, the gods and goddesses are super powerful! They have amazing magic abilities.

Imagine being able to turn invisible to people or travel anywhere in the blink of an eye – that's what they could do! These gods and goddesses also never get sick. They can only be hurt by very unusual things. This special ability is called being immortal. Being immortal means a god or goddess can never die.
