Early Life and Magic Interest

Andi Gladwin grew up in Newent, Gloucestershire, England. When he was 10 years old, he saw some stage magicians while on holiday. This made him very interested in magic. He started performing magic regularly when he was 15.

Becoming a Professional Magician

Andi worked in IT for almost ten years. In January 2010, he decided to become a full-time professional magician. He specializes in "close-up magic," which means performing tricks right in front of people, often with cards or coins.

TV Appearances and Shows

Andi has been on many TV channels, including BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, and Channel 4. He performed on shows like The Big Breakfast, Lance Burton's Young Magician's Showcase, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, and several seasons of Masters of Illusion.

Organizing Magic Events

Since 2006, Andi has helped organize a big meeting for magicians called The Session. In 2012, he also started organizing Magifest. This is one of America's oldest magic conventions, where magicians gather to learn and share ideas.

Starting a Magic Publishing Company

Perhaps Andi's most well-known trick is performing magic from inside a large red balloon, using only his head. In 2016, he performed this trick on ITV1's Next Great Magician. He also performed it on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. His performance from that show was even mentioned in The New York Times.
