Andi Gladwin (born May 10, 1983) is a British magician, speaker, and publisher. He has shown his amazing magic on TV shows like Next Great Magician and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Andi also travels to teach other magicians and writes books about magic. He is a special member of The Magic Circle and has won an award for his writing.

How He Started in Magic

Andi Gladwin grew up in Newent, Gloucestershire, England. When he was 10, he saw some stage magicians during a family holiday. This sparked his interest in magic. By age 15, he was already performing magic regularly!

Andi worked in IT for almost ten years. But his love for magic was strong. In January 2010, he became a full-time professional close-up magician. This means he performs magic right in front of people, often with cards or coins.

Amazing Tricks and TV Shows

Andi has appeared on many TV channels. These include BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, and Channel 4. He was on shows like The Big Breakfast, The Young Magician's Showcase, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, and Masters of Illusion.

One of Andi's most famous tricks involves a giant red balloon. He performs a magic trick from inside the balloon, using only his head! This amazing act was shown on ITV1's Next Great Magician in 2016. He also performed it on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. His performance even got a mention in The New York Times!

Helping Other Magicians

Since 2006, Andi has organized a special event for magicians called The Session. It's a conference where magicians can learn new tricks and ideas. In 2012, he also started organizing Magifest. This is one of the oldest magic conventions in America.

In 2009, Andi started a publishing company with another famous magician, Joshua Jay. Their company is called Vanishing Inc. Magic. It has grown into one of the biggest magic shops in the world! They sell magic tricks and books to magicians everywhere.

Andi has also created his own teaching materials. In 2010, he released two DVD sets called The Master Pushoff. These DVDs teach advanced card tricks like the Double Lift and Second Deal. Many magicians praised his teaching style. One reviewer said it should be a model for other magic teaching DVDs.

From 2014 to 2016, Andi wrote a regular column for Genii Magazine. This is a well-known magazine for magicians.
