Andra Kareem Manson (born April 30, 1984) is an amazing high jumper from the United States. He is known for jumping very high! His best outdoor jump was 2.35 metres (about 7 feet, 8.5 inches). He achieved this in April 2009 in Austin. His best indoor jump was 2.33 metres (about 7 feet, 7.7 inches) in February 2007.

Early Life and High School Success
Andra Manson grew up in Brenham, Texas. He went to Brenham High School and finished in 2002. While in high school, Andra was great at both basketball and track. He even set a special record for high school high jumpers in the U.S. He jumped an incredible 7 feet, 7 inches on July 18, 2002. Because of his amazing skills, Track and Field News magazine named him "High School Athlete of the Year" in 2002. After high school, Andra continued his sports journey at the University of Texas.
Major Achievements in High Jump
Andra Manson has won several important awards and medals in high jump competitions.
Junior World Champion
In 2002, Andra competed in the World Junior Championships. This big event was held in Kingston, Jamaica. He won the gold medal, taking first place! His winning jump was 2.31 metres.
World Indoor Medalist
Andra also competed in the World Indoor Championships in 2008. This competition took place in Valencia, Spain. He earned a bronze medal, finishing in third place. His jump was 2.30 metres.
Olympic Games Appearance
Andra Manson also had the honor of representing the United States. He competed in the Beijing 2008 Olympics. This is a huge achievement for any athlete!
