He played as an offensive tackle, which is a position on the offensive line that helps protect the quarterback and block for running backs. Andre played college football at Ball State University. He started his professional career when the Seattle Seahawks picked him in the 2009 NFL Draft. He also played for several other teams, including the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Command, and the Carolina Panthers.

Andre Ramsey's Football Journey

Starting with the Seattle Seahawks

Andre Ramsey began his professional football career with the Seattle Seahawks. He was chosen in the 7th round of the 2009 NFL Draft. During that 2009 season, he played in 6 games and started 5 of them.

Time with the Buffalo Bills

After playing for the Seahawks, Ramsey joined the Buffalo Bills. He was first signed to their practice squad, which is a group of players who practice with the team but are not on the main roster. On December 11, he was moved to the active roster. This happened after another offensive tackle, Demetress Bell, was placed on injured reserve (meaning he couldn't play due to injury).

Playing for the New York Jets

The New York Jets signed Andre Ramsey on October 25, 2010. That season, Ramsey started in 8 games. He played as both a right and left tackle, showing his versatility on the offensive line.

Joining the Baltimore Ravens

After a tryout, Andre Ramsey joined the Baltimore Ravens. In the next season, he played in 12 games. He started some games at both guard and tackle positions. His contributions helped his team reach the AFC Championship game.

Brief Period with the Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins signed Ramsey to their practice squad on November 30, 2011. He was on the practice roster for only one game before he was released from the team.

Playing in the Arena Football League

After leaving the Dolphins, Ramsey signed with the Kansas City Command. This team was part of the Arena Football League, which is a different type of football played indoors on a smaller field. The 2012 Arena Football League season ran from March 9 to July 22, 2012.

With the Carolina Panthers

Andre Ramsey was signed by the Carolina Panthers as a free-agent on August 10, 2012. He had a very productive season with the Panthers, playing in 14 games as a left guard. However, his season ended early in week 14 when he was placed on injured reserve.

Moving to the CFL with BC Lions

On March 26, 2013, Andre Ramsey signed with the BC Lions. This team plays in the Canadian Football League (CFL), which has slightly different rules than the NFL. He became a key player for them, starting all 18 games at left tackle.

Time with the Calgary Stampeders

In June 2015, Ramsey signed with another CFL team, the Calgary Stampeders. He continued to play as a left tackle, starting in 12 games for them.

Final Stint with Orlando Predators

On December 7, 2015, Ramsey was assigned to the Orlando Predators, another team in the Arena Football League. On May 25, 2016, he was placed on recallable reassignment, which meant he could be called back to the team if needed.
