Andreas Ulmer was born in Linz, Austria. He started his professional football journey with Austria Wien in the 2004–2005 season. After that, in the summer of 2008, he joined another team called SV Ried.
Joining Red Bull Salzburg
On January 28, 2009, Andreas Ulmer made a big move. He transferred to Red Bull Salzburg. This club became a huge part of his career. He played there for many years and achieved great success.
European Adventures
During the 2017–18 season, Red Bull Salzburg had one of their best times in European football. They played in the UEFA Europa League, which is a big competition for clubs across Europe. They finished first in their group, which was a record for them.
They then went on to beat strong teams like Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund. This helped them reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League for the very first time! On May 3, 2018, Ulmer played in the semi-final match against Marseille. Even though they won that specific game 2–1 away from home, they lost overall by a score of 3–2 and did not make it to the final.
