Andrew Michael Harrison (born October 28, 1994) is an American professional basketball player. He plays as a shooting guard or point guard. Andrew last played for Semt77 Yalovaspor in Turkey.
He was considered one of the best young basketball players in 2013. Andrew went to Travis High School in Texas. He played college basketball for the University of Kentucky. His twin brother, Aaron Harrison, also played with him there.

High School Basketball Star
Andrew Harrison was seen as one of the top five players in his age group. This was back in 2013. Other top players included Andrew Wiggins and Julius Randle.
On March 9, 2013, Andrew helped his high school team win a big state title. The Fort Bend Travis Tigers beat South Grand Prairie 46–38. They won the Class 5A state championship in Texas. His team was ranked #16 in the ESPN 25 Power Rankings. The year before, they had lost in the same championship game.
Andrew also played in two special games for top high school players. These were the Jordan Brand Classic and the 2013 McDonald's All-American Boys Game.
College Career at Kentucky
Andrew Harrison played college basketball for two years. He played for the University of Kentucky. In 79 games, he scored about 10.1 points per game. He also got 2.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists on average.
Andrew and his brother, Aaron, helped Kentucky reach the Final Fours twice. They made it in 2014 and 2015. In 2014, they lost the championship game to Connecticut. In 2015, they lost in the semi-finals to Wisconsin.
On April 9, 2015, Andrew decided to enter the 2015 NBA draft. This meant he would not play his last two years of college. Many of his Kentucky teammates also entered the draft that year. These included Karl-Anthony Towns and Devin Booker.
Professional Basketball Journey
Starting in the NBA
On June 25, 2015, Andrew was picked by the Phoenix Suns in the NBA draft. He was the 44th player chosen overall. His draft rights were then traded to the Memphis Grizzlies.
He joined the Grizzlies for the 2015 NBA Summer League. After that, he played for the Iowa Energy. This team was part of the NBA Development League (now G-League). It was connected to the Grizzlies. He played his first professional game on November 14, 2015. He scored 11 points and had seven assists. In the 2015–16 season, he averaged 18.5 points per game for Iowa. He also had 4.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists.
Time with the Memphis Grizzlies
Andrew signed a multi-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies on July 12, 2016. On November 30, 2016, he scored 21 points against the Toronto Raptors. This was his highest score in an NBA game at that time.
He played in the 2017 NBA playoffs for the first time. On April 15, 2017, he scored 10 points in a game against the San Antonio Spurs. On February 7, 2018, Andrew scored a new career-high of 23 points. This was in a game against the Utah Jazz. A week later, he scored even more, reaching 28 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Andrew played for the Grizzlies until November 2018.
Later Career Teams
After leaving the Grizzlies, Andrew played for a few other NBA teams. He had short periods with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018. He also played for teams in other leagues.
In 2019, he joined Khimki, a team in Russia. Later, he played for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G-League. He averaged 15.5 points per game there. Andrew then played for the Beijing Royal Fighters in China from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, he played for the Windy City Bulls in the G-League.
From 2022 to 2024, Andrew played for teams in Turkey and Greece. He was with Merkezefendi Bld. Denizli Basket and PAOK Thessaloniki. Most recently, he played for Semt77 Yalovaspor in Turkey in 2024.
