Andrew Joseph Livingston Conners (born November 12, 1978) is a talented swimmer from the United States. He is known for his skill in the butterfly stroke. Andrew proudly represented Puerto Rico at the 2000 Summer Olympics and again at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Andrew's mother is from Puerto Rico, which is why he chose to compete for that country. He first swam for the United States at the 1997 World University Games. After that, he began representing Puerto Rico in all his swimming competitions.
Andrew went to the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) for college. He was a very successful student-athlete there. In 2001, he was even named UNLV's Sportsman of the Year!
Life After Swimming
After his swimming career, Andrew joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 2008. The Coast Guard is a branch of the military that helps protect our coasts and keeps people safe at sea. After finishing his basic training, he was stationed in Winchester Bay, Oregon.
Andrew then went to a special school in Petaluma, California, to become an Information Systems Technician. This job involves working with computer systems and technology. After finishing that school, he was stationed at CAMSPAC Point Reyes, California.
Andrew also attended Cypress Falls High School in Houston, Texas.
