Andrico Hines was born on December 10, 1980. He is a former American football quarterback. He played for several teams in the Arena Football League (AFL). These teams included the Cleveland Gladiators and Pittsburgh Power.
Before playing professionally, Andrico Hines attended three different colleges. He went to Middle Georgia College, then Southwest Mississippi Community College, and finally Middle Tennessee State University. He also played high school football at Riverdale High School in Riverdale, Georgia.
Andrico Hines's High School Football Days
Andrico Hines was a star player for the Riverdale High School Raiders. He was the starting quarterback for all four years. In his senior year, he helped his team achieve an amazing 13–1 record. They even made it to the state playoffs semifinals.
Hines was recognized for his great skills. He was named all-State, all-County, and all-Region. He also set a state record by scoring five touchdowns in one playoff game.
What Was Hines's College Career Like?
Andrico Hines started his college football journey at Middle Georgia College. He played for the Middle Georgia Warriors. Later, he moved to Southwest Mississippi Community College. There, he played for the Southwest Mississippi Bears.
In 2000, he was named to the Mississippi JUCO All-Star team. He completed 101 passes out of 158 attempts. This resulted in 1,319 yards and 15 touchdowns. He only threw four interceptions.
Hines then transferred to Middle Tennessee State University. He played for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders from 2002 to 2003. During his time there, he threw for 3,495 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Hines's Professional Football Journey
Andrico Hines began his professional career in the af2 league. He played for the South Georgia Wildcats in the 2005 season. In 2006, he joined the Chattahoochee Valley Vipers in the American Indoor Football League. However, he suffered a serious injury, tearing his ACL, in his third game that season.
After recovering, Hines played for the Spokane Shock in the af2 in 2007. He helped the Shock reach the playoffs. He completed 64% of his passes for over 2,800 yards. He also threw 62 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions.
In 2008, he returned to the South Georgia Wildcats. He threw 67 touchdown passes that year. The Wildcats won the AF2 south division title. In 2009, Hines played for the Bossier–Shreveport Battle Wings in the af2. He had 3,214 passing yards, 76 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
Hines then moved to the Arena Football League (AFL). He was assigned to the Alabama Vipers in November 2009. He later left the Vipers in June 2010. After that, he signed with the Albany Panthers in the Southern Indoor Football League.
In June 2011, Hines joined the Cleveland Gladiators in the AFL. As a rookie, he completed 8 of 15 passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns. He then moved to the Pittsburgh Power in January 2012. For the Power, he completed 134 of 224 passes for 1,640 yards. He also threw 30 touchdowns and had seven interceptions.
Hines signed with the Cleveland Gladiators again in May 2013. He played in one game before being reassigned by the team in June 2013.
