The Story of Andy's
How Andy's Began
Andy's Frozen Custard was started by John and Carol Kuntz. They opened their first shop in 1986. This was in Osage Beach, Missouri. The idea came after they tried frozen custard in Wisconsin. They really liked it!
John and Carol learned from Leon and Doris Schneider. The Schneiders owned Leon's Frozen Custard in Milwaukee. Leon shared his knowledge to help the Kuntzes. They named their new shop after their son, Andy.
Growing the Business
Soon after, the business grew. Andy and his wife, Dana, moved to Springfield, Missouri. There, they learned all about the frozen custard business.
In 2008, John Kuntz passed away. Andy, Dana, and Carol continued to run the company. They kept the family business going strong.
Andy and Dana also have a home in Kansas City, Missouri. The Andy's chain now has 13 stores in that area. Andy grew up near Kansas City before moving to the Ozarks at age 14.
